Out & Back On The AT – Carvers Gap to Hump Mtn
This is a two night backpacking trip on the Appalachian Trail starting at Carvers Gap and hiking to Hump Mountain and back. Day one was a very late start, leaving Carvers Gap at 6:00 PM, then taking a side trail up to Grassy Ridge, and camping near Stan Murray Shelter. On the second day I hike to the top of Hump Mountain and then back track to camp near Bradley Gap. Then on day 3 it’s back to Carvers Gap.
