Day 2 is backup Anthony Creek Trail to Bote Mountain Trail to Spence Field and then the AT to Derrick Knob Shelter. On day 3 the hike continues on the AT to Miry Ridge Trail then down Jakes Creek Trail to Meigs Mountain Trail to Campsite #20. Continuing on the Meigs Mountain Trail to Lumber Ridge Trail through Tremont and then the West Prong Trail, day 4 ends at Campsite #18. Sterling Ridge Trail and then a short distance on the Beech Gap Trail to Laurel Gap Shelter. On day three I take the Balsam Mountain Trail to Tricorner Knob Shelter. The fourth day takes the Appalachian Trail to Maddron Bald Trail down to Campsite #29. The trip starts on the Mountains-to-Sea Trail at its junction with NC State Route 215 and continues east to the Green Mountain Trail. Using an unofficial trail I leave the Green Mountain Trail and take the Buckeye Gap Trail down to Middle Prong Creek and the junction of the Haywood Gap Trail.
